Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. Who This Applies To
This policy applies to anyone who visits godiving.co or any of its subdomains, or who contacts us or makes a booking through our website, WhatsApp, or email.
GoDiving Co. is the data controller for the information collected through our platforms.
2. What We Collect
We only collect information that is needed to handle your booking and communicate with you. This includes:
— Your name, email address, and phone number when you submit a booking or inquiry form.
— WhatsApp messages and conversation history when you contact us through WhatsApp.
— Payment information when you pay through our platform (processed securely via third-party payment providers — we do not store card details).
— Basic usage data collected automatically when you browse the site, such as pages visited and time spent on site.
3. How We Use It
Your information is used to confirm and manage your booking, send you booking-related communications, follow up if there is an issue with your reservation, and occasionally send relevant updates or offers (you can opt out of these at any time).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
4. Who We Share It With
To complete your booking, we share relevant details (name, contact info, program booked) with the partner dive center or operator at your chosen location. This is necessary to confirm your spot and ensure they are prepared for your arrival.
We use third-party services to help run the site and process data, including payment processors and communication tools. These providers are only given what they need to perform their specific function.
5. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses cookies and tracking tools to understand how visitors use the site and to improve your experience. Specifically, we use:
Facebook Pixel — tracks visits and actions on our site to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
Matomo Analytics — a self-hosted analytics tool we use to track site traffic and visitor behaviour. Unlike Google Analytics, Matomo keeps this data on our own servers and does not share it with third parties.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some features of the site may not work as expected if you do.
6. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as it is needed to service your booking and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up questions or disputes. If you would like your data removed, contact us via our contact page.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request that we delete your data. To do any of these, reach out via our contact page.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Payment transactions are handled by third-party processors with their own security standards. No system is 100% secure, but we do our best.
9. Children
Our services are available to minors only when accompanied by a parent or guardian who completes the booking on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will always reflect the latest version. Continued use of our site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
